YOU WILL KNEEL BEFORE ZOD! Nothing more needs to be said. Despite the departure of director Richard Donner midway through production, his influence is still readily visible in the movie. In many ways, Superman II is a better movie. Terence Stamp simply owns every scene he's in as General Zod - I don't think I've seen anyone chew scenery as much, other than Shatner in Star Trek 2. Zod for president. http://www.zod2008.com
The original Superman, and still one of my favorite movies. I just watched this with my kids, and it still holds up today. I never noticed this as a kid, but Christopher Reeve's acting as Clark Kent is AMAZING - you can see glimpses of Superman behind the glasses from time to time. If you haven't seen it in a long time, give it another look. It's americana at its best.
